3D Room was a participant in the first regional conference “Integrated Waste Management and Prevention of Marine Waste in the Western Balkans” held in Tirana, organized by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ).

We presented PETka, a machine for recycling plastic bottles and the first Montenegrin tableware made of recycled plastic.

Deputy ministers and other representatives of the public and private sectors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro gathered to discuss common solutions. Special focus is placed on the circular economy, extended producer responsibility, single-use plastic items, private sector support and public awareness.

Considering that marine waste does not stop at the borders, it was concluded that regional cooperation and joint interventions are necessary in the fight against the pollution of the Adriatic Sea with plastic waste.
